Recruiting New Librarian For Walnut Creek
At North Broadway branch, county is looking to replace Cindy Brittain, who retired at the end of 2011.

The county library system is now recruiting to find a new senior community library manager for the facility in downtown Walnut Creek.
Library Manager Cindy Brittain retired at the end of 2011. She had led the library through the construction phase and opening in 2010.
"The recruitment process is under way," said Gail McPartland, deputy county librarian.
McPartland said the North Broadway library had a superb turnout, 148 people, on Jan. 22 at a session to acquaint customers with the library system's e-reader program, learning how to download for free library books.
"Walnut Creek is really hot on their digital readers," said McPartland. "We're tickled about that."
