Walnut Creek Actress Arrested on Suspicion of Assault

Walnut Creek police arrested the woman who played Pippi Longstocking in a 1988 film on suspicion of assault Thursday, according to the celebrity gossip site TMZ. 

Tami Erin, who starred in The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking, got into a fight with her male roommate and was placed under citizen's arrest by a neighbor until officers took her into custody, according to TMZ. She was released Friday.

TMZ reported that the male roommate had no visible injuries and that the case has been referred to the Contra Costa County District Attorney.
