Duck Race Fundraiser

Thousands of rubber ducks will be dropped into a pool for a great cause.  It will take place this Sunday, August 19th at 5:30 p.m. at Waterworld, 1950 Waterworld Parkway, Concord. (Ducks will be dropped in around this time). Thousands of dollars have already been raised by selling each duck for $10.  The owner of the winning duck wins $1,000.  Money raised will benefit a number of Contra Costa charities, including Meals on Wheels, the Contra Costa Food bank and for drilling of water wells in Africa.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
