John Wells Appointed EVP at Mechanics Bank

Mechanics Bank has promoted John Wells to Executive Vice President. Mr. Wells retains his titles as Chief Credit Officer and member of the Bank’s Executive Committee, reporting to the office of the president.

A seasoned banker with more than two decades of diverse real estate and  lending experience, Mr. Wells joined

Mechanics Bank in 2008 as Senior Vice President and interim head of the Real Estate Industries Group. He then served as head of Special Assets, and was appointed interim chief of Corporate Banking.  His appointment as Chief Credit Officer came midyear in 2010.

“John has been in critical roles as a credit and special assets administrator,” says Dianne D. Felton, Chairman of the Mechanics Bank Board of Directors.  “His experience in lending and in credit administration make him a valuable resource to loan production.  He has been critical in the process of improving the quality of the Bank’s loan portfolio. His promotion recognizes his contributions in leading the Bank’s credit team through one of the most challenging times in its history.”

As Chief Credit Officer, Mr. Wells is responsible for the
overall credit quality of Mechanics Bank’s commercial and consumer loan portfolios.

Mr. Wells works out of Walnut Creek and resides in Martinez.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
