THE HEIST: New American narrative

Exclusive Contra Costa Preview

This nation is in need of a new narrative that reflects more accurately what is happening to our economy so that we have some ideas about what can be done. THE HEIST is that new narrative. Americans must know the story of how the largest heist in human history was engineered over 30 years through deregulation, massive outsourcing of jobs and corruption of government by the super-rich. THE HEIST is a new, groundbreaking feature documentary about the roots of the American economic crisis, and the continuing assault on working and middle class people in the United States. Find out who stole the American Dream and how to get it back. Watch the trailer at www.heist-themovie.com.

You are invited to see THE HEIST at the Lafayette Library Community Hall, 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd. on Sunday April 1 at 2 PM. This special preview filming will be followed by a lively discussion with the producer Donald Goldmacher.

Please bring your family, friends and neighbors.
Pre-registration recommended: heistresponse@hotmail.com.

The filming is organized by the Central Contra Costa & TriValley MoveOn Councils and co-sponsored by the Mt Diablo Peace & Justice Center and the Lamorinda Peace & Justice Group. Please post the flyer where others can see it. The press is invited to the filming and discussion afterwards. The Community Hall is wheelchair accessible. Refreshments will be served.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
