Walnut Creek's Blue Ribbon Task Force to Hold Forum on Funding Alternatives

Walnut Creek's Community Blue Ribbon Task Force on Fiscal Health will host an educational forum on program and capital funding alternatives on Tuesday, June 14 from 7-9 p.m. in the Oak View Conference Room of the Walnut Creek Library, 1644 N. Broadway.

A panel moderated by City Manager Ken Nordhoff will provide information on revenues and public finance options, the voter approval process, and policy considerations for raising revenues for city program and capital financing. 

Panel members will include  Brad Senden, managing partnerfor the Center for Community Opinion; Craig Hill, principal and co-founder of Northcross, Hill and Ach; and Eric Scriven, senior vice president for De La Rosa & Co. Investment Bankers.

Parking is available at the Library ($1 per hour before 7 p.m.) or at the Broadway Garage, corner of N. Broadway and Cypress Street (50 cents per hour).

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
