Dental material sensitivity/allergy.

I am looking for a local dentist that has experience with treating those that can't tolerate many dental materials used in fillings.  I have been suffering for more than a year trying to figure out the problem and it is costing thousands as most dentists have no idea what to do about this.

I have the same problem and I have had all of my mercury amalgam fillings and crowns replaced. I highly recommend Dr. Christopher Wolter and his associate Dr. Tiziana Procopio and Dr. Wolter's office is here in Walnut Creek (925) 933-5677. Please see their website for contact information: http://drwolter.com/our-dentists Dr. Procopio was really perceptive in seeing that my surrounding gum tissue was very reactive to an old crown I had which contained mercury amalgam. Of course my insurance did not pay for these all at one time, so in the meantime I had to use toothpaste for sensitive teeth until all were replaced. It has been a 3 to 4 year process but I am finally free of the dental material I am allergic to. Everyone in our family sees Dr. Wolter or one of his associates. He and his office staff are the best!

Thank you very much, Robyn. I'll give that office a call, hoping for a miracle!

If anyone knows where to get tested locally for allergy/sensitivity to dental materials, please let me know.
