The Concord Police Department has had a K-9 unit since 1965. Police dogs are used for narcotics detection, searches and protection work, as well as demonstrations at public events. Read more about CPD's K-9 unit on Concord Patch.

I absolutely love these K-9 stories. And I understand all about the dog hair. Mine don't even ride in the car too often and their hair is everywhere! This is sweet: "K-9 Dantest was donated to the Concord Police Department by Kathleen Tallman in loving memory of her son, William Tallman."
