Donner Canyon Expedition

Donner Canyon drops from the slopes of North Peak and Main Peak Mount Diablo providing vantage points for dazzling views of the Los Medanos Hills. Chaparral, springs, oak woodland, serpentine escarpments and dozens of rare plants and animals inhabit the diverse area – not many places can beat this. Follow Kirk, as he showcases some of the best kept secrets on the Mountain. The hike will be between 4-6 miles, depending on the weather, and will have around 600 ft. elevation gain/loss. Meet at trailhead at the end of Regency Dr in Clayton.
