Families to Frolic at Walnut Creek Festival This Weekend

FamilyFest is Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day Monday at Heather Farm Park.

FamilyFest takes over Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek for the three days of the Labor Day Weekend.

FamilyFest is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Once you pay your admission fee, the festival offers free family entertainment, including face painting, keepsake handprints, bounces and crawls, and shows like a bike stunt team, SpongeBob SquarePants and a Saving Wildlife International Show. There are more than 100 exhibits and arts and crafts booths, a food court and nearly 20 rides, including a Ferris wheel and pony rides.

Admission is $5 per person with the donation of a canned good for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, $6 without a can donation. Infants under 24 months and seniors 65 and older are free.
