Free Caregiver Workshop Set in Walnut Creek
The invaluable program is designed for anyone providing home care to a senior family member or friend.
Meals on Wheels and Senior Family Services are hosting a free workshop for caregivers on May 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Walnut Creek.
Family, friends, neighbors -- anyone who assists a senior -- are invited.
Almost half of family caregivers -- with little help or training -- perform medical tasks, normally associated with a nurse's function. Now is the chance to get help, resources and as questions.
Lunch will be provided. The session is at 1300 Civic Drive.
