'Life in the Creek' Art Sought for Walnut Creek Public Exhibit

The submission deadline is May 2 to the City of Walnut Creek's Civic Arts Education.

Artists are encouraged to submit visual art for an exciting high profile public art project to displayed at the corner of Main Street and Mt Diablo Boulevard.

The theme of this exhibition will be “Life in the Creek.” 

Artists’ works will offer a unique perspective on life in Walnut Creek, -- possibilities may range from the people, to buildings, street life, flora, fauna and built and natural landscapes, and natural and man-made objects on and above the ground. Work can be made in any 2D and 3D media.

All selected artwork will be photographed at high resolution, and printed on the UV protected, weatherproof vinyl panels.    

For consideration email an image of the work, in jpg or pdf format, to artsed@arts-ed.org or mail a print of the artwork to: Life In the Creek, Civic Arts Education, 111 N. Wiget Lane, Walnut Creek, CA 94598. Deadline May 2.

Please include the artist’s name, title of work, medium and year completed, and contact info. The Civic Arts group will contact selected artists to arrange photography of their work for the exhibit.
