Walnut Creek Kids 'Say Yes' with Benefit Concert for Homeless & Orphans

Creek Kids Care, a service group of Walnut Creek children and teens, is presenting a live performance and boutique benefiting organizations -- in town and overseas -- on Sunday, April 27 at Hillside Covenant Church.

The event’s proceeds will fund CKC’s 2014-15 charitable efforts -- to support  local homeless through Trinity Center, a Walnut Creek respite and service center, and to help fund the Mother of Peace Orphanage in Zimbabwe's children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic.

At 2:30 p.m., the church doors will open for a boutique selling stationery, framed prints and magnets featuring Creek Kids' artwork.

The area youth's "Say Yes" concert begins at 4 p.m.

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for youth (3 to 10), and are available through the CKC website: www.creekkids.org.

The Creek Kids group celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and is made up of concerned and hopeful Walnut Creek youth who believe they can make a difference in the world.

Hillside Covenant Church is located at 2060 Magnolia Way in Walnut Creek.
