The council will also hear a request from city staff for permission to break down the Boundary Oak Golf Course Renovation Project into smaller segments to stay within the project's $5.8 million budget.
On Wednesday evening, the Design Review Board will hold its regularly scheduled meeting.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 1666 N. Main St.
On the agenda is a public hearing on a proposal to build 202,000 square feet of new commercial buildings on the northwest corner of Ygnacio Valley Road and Oak Grove Road. The project would include a new Safeway store, retail shops, restaurants and a health club on the 25-acre site.
