For its season opener, the award-winning California Symphony orchestra, led by Guest Conductor Asher Raboy, will spotlight the artistic achievements of the New Deal's Works Progress Administration.

The performance will recognize the profound influence that the WPA's Composers' Forum-Laboratory and Federal Music Project had on the development of American music.

  • Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus Overture
  • Aaron Copland's Quiet City and John Henry
  • Ernst Bacon's Remembering Ansel Adams
  • Beethoven's Symphony No. 7

Audience members of all ages will enjoy this lively tribute to our country's rich history of investing in musicians and composers.
