Concord Art Association (CAA) presents Homing Cheung 3/8/2011

Looking at this quiet, smiling man you would never imagine the ordeals he faced before coming to the United States.  Homing Cheung escaped China during the Cultural Revolution.  He swam seven hours, from China to Hong Kong, to start a new life.

Homing taught himself traditional brush painting while growing up in China.  He was introduced to using color in his paintings through classes taken from Mt. Diablo Adult Education.

Homing and his wife Christina live in Concord.
