Jonathan Franzen is Contra Costa County Library’s featured guest author for the 2012 Summer Reading Festival, an annual event that kicks off the county-wide Summer Reading Festival Program. Mr. Franzen is the esteemed author of many books, including Freedom and The Corrections.
In August 2010, Mr. Franzen was featured on the cover of TIME Magazine, only the second time in the last decade that a living writer has been on the cover of this national magazine. His books have won numerous awards and his latest book, Freedom, was chosen as one of the New York Times 10 Best Books of 2010.
