Contra Costa Children's Chorus: "Hope for Resolution"

Contra Costa Children’s Chorus celebrates diversity in music.

The students will perform “Hope for Resolution” Friday, May 18 at 7 p.m. (levels 3, 4, and honors), and Saturday, May 19 at 10 a.m. (levels 1 and 2, plus appearances by 3 and 4).  Performing diverse music from around the world, both concerts will enchant and impress you with the talent and range of these young singers. Friday evening’s program features music from Cuba, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Japan and America, and concludes with Caldwell and Ivory’s "Hope for Resolution," a lyrical European chant melody combined with an uplifting Zulu anti-apartheid song. On Saturday morning, the younger singers will delight you as they deliver diverse songs from such countries as Newfoundland, Norwaand Czechoslovakia.

Artistic Director Martin Benvenuto, conductors Laryssa Sadoway and Julie Fischer.
