Lighting of Downtown Holiday Tree

The lighting of downtown Walnut Creek's holiday tree is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at Civic Park, at North Broadway and Civic Drive.

Entertainment includes a visit from Santa Claus and live music performed by carolers.

The event is sponsored by the Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association.
