Public Art Walking Tours

The Bedford Gallery is now offering guided walking tours of Walnut Creek's prime public artworks located around downtown. Tours start at 11 a.m. every second Saturday of the month. Admission is $5 and includes a free pass to the Bedford Gallery. Tour schedules are subject to change.

Tour highlights provide an up-close view of works by Stephen DeStaebler, Yoshio Taylor, Bruce Beasley and others, as well as the Veteran's Memorial Plaza by Cliff Garten and a recent mural by Josh Keyes. The 60-minute, docent-led walking tours depart from the front of the Lesher Center. Walking tours will be cancelled in the event of rain. Special group tours are also available for groups of 15 or more, by reservation only. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and sun protection.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
