Walnut Creek Reads: "Exploring Japanese Cuisine" Dining & Discussion

Walnut Creek Reads Events Conclude with Book Discussion, Dining Events

This year's Walnut Creek Reads festivities will conclude on Mon., Oct. 4 with a dining and social book discussion, "Exploring Japanese Cuisine," at Sasa Restaurant. This year's book selection is The Street of a Thousand Blossoms by Gail Tsukiyama.

The dinner will feature casual discussion and the cuisine of sushi chef/owner Philip Yang and chef de cuisine Sam Castro. Discussion cards will be provided at each table. Attendees can choose from Sasa's full menu or a price fix item.

The dining event requires reservations through the restaurant, 925-210-0188. Attendees should be sure to mention that they are participating in the One City One Book program to ensure proper seating. Sasa is located at 1432 N. Main St.

Community members who have enjoyed this year's Walnut Creek Reads program also can participate in the final book discussion this Thursday, Sept. 30. The discussion is set for the downtown Walnut Creek Library, 1644 N. Broadway, and begins at 12 noon. It is free to the public.
