Put a Little Spring in your Step

Spring Fling, wildflowers, Mini Motorland, Angelina Ballerina and Sky High top the list of fun things to do with the kids.

DIABLO BALLET’S "ANGELINA BALLERINA" STORY TIME

  • Where/When: ; Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon
  • Why Go: Join Diablo Ballet for its Angelina Ballerina children's story time. Costumed dancers will read this popular children's book.
  • Price: Free
 

MINI MOTORLAND IN MARTINEZ

  • Where/When: John Muir Amphitheater, 111 Tarantino Drive. Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon.
  • Why Go: Bring your children ages 2 through 5 to drive their ride-on cars indoors on a track in this annual event. The city has created a thoroughfare with gas stops, drive-thrus and other fun amenities. All kinds of vehicles are welcome, such as electric cars, tricycles and Big Wheels. Just no gas-powered rigs.
  • Price: $8 per child; reservations required. Call the recreation office at 925- 372-3510.

 LIVERY SPRING FLING

  • Where: Danville Livery, Sycamore Valley Road West and San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Saturday, noon to 3 p.m. 
  • Why Go: Celebrate springtime at the Livery: Free kids' train rides, bounce house, balloon twisting, face painting, arts and crafts, live music, magic and  puppet shows and more.
  • Price: Free

 

  • Where/When: Sunol Regional Wilderness Park; Saturday, 11 a.m.
  • Why Go: Sunol Regional Wilderness celebrates the season at its Spring Wildflower Festival, featuring kid-friendly hikes, arts and crafts, face painting, games and music.
  • Price: Free

 MUNCHKIN MONDAYS AT SKY HIGH SPORTS

  • Where/When: ; Mondays, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. 
  • Why Go: With no big kids in the way, kids 6 and under can jump on Sky High's floor and wall trampolines. 
  • Price: $6
