'Swankville' Authors Come to Walnut Creek

East Bay authors of book about competitive parenting to sign at Barnes & Noble Saturday.

The East Bay authors of Tales from Swankville are doing a book signing Saturday at the Walnut Creek Barnes & Noble, with proceedings going to the nook books program at Children's Hospital in Oakland.

Siah S. Fried and Georgie H. Ikuma will be signing the book at 3 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 1149 S. Main St., Walnut Creek.

This clever collection of essays about competitive parents and their subsequent “bad” behaviors, "from the Pleasanton Patch to the Huffington Post, Bay Area television to the radio airwaves,: as the authors put it in their news release.

“We are thrilled to participate in a Barnes and Noble event that is focused on improving the lives of children in our community,” said Fried. “Ultimately, this has been our message all along.”
