Walnut Creek Art and Wine Festival This Saturday and Sunday: Going?

The Walnut Creek Art and Wine Festival is today and tomorrow

The weather promises to be exactly what the promoters of the Walnut Creek Art and Wine Festival had hoped for today (Saturday, June 1) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and tomorrow, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Heather Farm Park. This annual event, presented by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, features live music, food, beer and wine, and plenty of art and crafts.

Local bands Lumber Yard, Ken Cooper and Dan DeShara, Moon Alice, Finding Stella, Alvon Johnson and others will perform on the two stages throughout both days.

Wines from regional vintners like Laujor Estate Winery will feature red and white varietals. Various beers from the likes of Creek Monkey, EJ Phair, Altamont Beer and others will be foaming. Diners can expect barbeque chicken, oysters, crab cakes, lobster rolls and other fare.

A very large play area for kids has been set aside, featuring a rock climbing wall, a giant slide, and a host of other activities.

If you go, take some photos or videos and post them on Patch. And have fun!
