A Patch reader named Eric said he was saddened last week to see that "some misguided individuals have elected to display their spray paint talents on the water storage tank on the ridge of Shell ridge open space."
This is just up the hill from the Marshall Drive trailhead, the Muir Reservoir for East Bay Municipal Utilities District.
"I've frequented this trail for years and the whole tank is covered now," said Eric. "We have such a special gift with our open space and this art/graffiti is just out of place along with the beer bottles that have also been left behind by someone. Any thoughts on how to deter further defacing of our community in the Open Space?"
