A New Burger Habit on Geary Road

Habit Burger Grill says trick or treat with Halloween opening.

Trick or treat, with cheese, lettuce, onions and a side of fries.

That's the recipe for Habit Burger Grill. The chain will open its second outlet in Walnut Creek on Halloween (Wednesday, Oct. 31), according to a post on the Habit Burger Facebook site.

Before the spooky opening, there will be a couple brief fund-raising habits — 12-2 p.m. Sunday to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Then, from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday will benefit the Contra Costa Humane Society.

The new Habit Burger is at 1504 Geary Road, in the same plaza with the recently opened Sprouts market. The first Habit Burger in Walnut Creek, on South California Boulevard, opened in 2010.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
