It's a business that travels well. XCVI (which stands for 1996, the year it was started), is a clothing retailer that began in Beverly Hills. It has since expanded, but its empire is more nomadic than most.
XCVI is a new breed of retail store called the Pop-Up Shop. These stores look for empty retail spaces in upscale malls, rent them for a short time, and install their custom portable racks, A-frames and other movable display hardware. Voila! Pop-Up Shop.
For this clothing store, two tents are used for dressing rooms. A series of boxes and customized display hangers show off the wares.
XCVI sells a variety of women's clothing, jewelry and other goods. They are located at 1248 Broadway Plaza. At least for the time being.
