Holiday Tree at Civic Park Illuminated at 6 p.m. Friday
Bring the kids because Santa Claus will be there; sing some carols, too.
The lighting of the downtown holiday tree is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, aka Black Friday, at Civic Park, at North Broadway and Civic Drive.
Santa Claus will be there. Voices will be lifted in the singing of carols.
The sponsor is the Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association, which encourages residents to make an evening out of it with a skate at Walnut Creek on Ice, also in Civic Park, or a nice dinner at a downtown restaurant.
