Know of a New Business? Tell Patch About It

Fill out this form to tell Patch about area businesses opening or closing.

As our faithful Patch readers probably know, we recently launched Sprouts & Shutters, a new bi-monthly business column that tracks store openings and closings in Walnut Creek, Lamorinda, Concord, Pleasant Hill and Martinez.

We wanted to let everyone know that this feature welcomes submissions from local residents.

Whether you're a business owner about to open a new establishment or a local resident who noticed a "Coming Soon" or "Out-of-Business" sign, please tell us about it using this simple form. (It's OK, if you don't have all the details. Just share at least the business name and city.)

We'll also use the information to update our business directories, which offer local businesses a free listing on their hometown site.

Click on the following links to find the business directory that covers your town:

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
