Look for a Splash on Tuesday

Splash Swim School opens for indoor swim lessons; open house today.

On Tuesday, Splash Swim School is opening its Walnut Creek location on Third Avenue with indoor swim lessons for babies and children.

Splash's original location is in San Ramon. At the new location, Splash will continue its 4-1 student/teacher ratio, with staff on deck at all times, according to a Splash news release.

The Splash philosophy is group lessons, "making learning to swim as  fun as possible," said owner Liz Claytor in a March interview.

An open house will be held today (Saturday) from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 1531 3rd Ave., Walnut Creek.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
