New Column: 'Visions for Vacancies'

Spotmojo.com will be highlighting some of the vacant businesses in Walnut Creek and asking the community, "What should go here?" Give you input and share some local history.

"Visions for Vacancies" is a new column coming to Walnut Creek Patch from Spotmojo.com. In this column, we’ll feature a vacant retail space and ask you what type of business you would like to see there.

I’ll ask you to make a suggestion on Spotmojo.com, a site where I am a co-founder. Your suggestions are collected, and Spotmojo will actually look for those businesses to fill that demand. We also work with commercial property owners and brokers by providing them information to help them attract the businesses the community wants to their available spaces.

Spotmojo’s goals are to give the community a voice in the types of businesses that open in their community and at the same time help local businesses succeed by finding a location where there’s strong demand for their services.

The first column focuses on the former Colton Piano storefront at 1357 N. Main St.
