After the long night of queueing up by iPhone 5 fanatics, there were shorter waits Friday on the South Main Street sidewalk in front of the Apple Store.
The photo above was taken at 12:30 p.m. Friday. The line went about 20 deep and some people in the middle of the line said they had been there about 15 minutes. Apple staffers were offering umbrellas and water to protect the iPhone fans from the midday sun.
Several dozen waited overnight to get the iPhone 5, available when the Apple Store opened at 8 a.m. Friday.
