Short Sales Replace Bank Owned – Walnut Creek Real Estate Market Update – Sept 2012

While total Real Estate sales are up, Bank Owned sales are down and Short-Sales are gaining steam.

See Charts-

Home sales in Walnut Creek are up from last year at this time. 725 properties have sold so far vs. 662 in the same period of 2011. This is the trend that started in 2008.

Sales of Walnut Creek Bank Owned properties are down from last year. I attribute this to the growing number of Short-Sales and the decrease in NODs (Notice of Default) and Notice of Trustee Sales.

Short-Sales in Walnut Creek are up significantly for this year. As you can see from the chart this is a growing trend. The banks are letting them go through much quicker and the requirements are much more relaxed than in the past.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
