Police are looking for a man who tried and failed to rob a cigarette store in Walnut Creek Wednesday night.
A man police describe as a 24-year-old white male, six feet tall, medium build with blond hair and wearing a baseball cap, walked into Cigarettes for Less in Palos Verdes Mall around 5:54 p.m. He tried to rob the store with a gun, but when the clerks saw the weapon, they fled the store. The man then ran from the store without any money.
No one was injured in the attempted robbery. Police used dogs to search the area, but found nothing.
