Clear Skies To Return to East Bay This Week

There may be showers Monday morning but the sun, and more late spring temperatures, should start returning Tuesday.

After an unseasonably weekend absence, the sun is getting ready to return to the East Bay.

The National Weather Service forecasts a 30 percent chance of showers for Monday morning with partly cloudy skies Monday afternoon and evening.

Then, dry weather is expected to return.

National Weather meterologists say we'll have mostly sunny skies on Tuesday with high temperatures just over 70 degrees.

Sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-70s are expected for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The blue skies will be a welcome sight after a weekend of unusually wet weather for early June.

From 11 a.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday, the NWS reported .71 inches of rain fell on Mount Diablo.
