ELMO TURNS THREE

  • Where/When: Border’s in Pleasant Hill; Saturday, Feb. 26, 2 p.m.
  • Why Go: Celebrate with music, stories and crafts.
  • Pricing: Free

LESTER THE LITTER BUG

  • Where/When: Tilden Nature Area; Sunday, Feb. 27, 2 p.m.
  • Why Go: Meet and learn ways to protect the environment. While there, visit the farm which features a variety of farm animals including cows, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens and pigs. 
  • Pricing: Free

MODEL TRAINS

  • Where/When:; Friday, Feb. 25, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Why Go: Go see one of the largest on permanent display in the United States. It features over 4,300 feet of track covering an area of 1,800 square feet, reaching an elevation of 5 feet.
  • Pricing: Adults $3; children (6-12) and seniors $2; Children under 6 free

BMX BIKE STUNTS

  • Where/When: ; Sunday, Feb. 27, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Clayton Bikes team is putting on a ramp show! They are having a BBQ and a competition for those wanting to compete. And free stickers for the kids.
  • Pricing: Free

FREE PRACTICE SAT TEST

  • Where/When: ; Saturday, Feb. 26, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Take a free full-length and get a personalized score pinpointing strengths and weaknesses. 
  • Pricing: Free

FOR THE PARENTS OF MIDDLE-SCHOOL-AGED GIRLS

  • Where/When: ; Monday, Feb. 28, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Lamorinda American Association of University Women Sister to Sister Conference  Team hosts a Q & A with a from the Acalanes Union High School District.  They will share their stories, their successes and their mistakes, and talk about some of the misconceptions parents may have about this age group.
