Grab and Go Kids Planner: Cinderella at the Lesher Center and Summer Camp Fair Saturday

Seuss science, Fantasyland, hoping down the bunny trail, a birthday party, and read, read, read

  • Where/When: Del Valle Theatre 1963 Tice Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek; March 5, 7pm, and March 6, 2pm
  • Why Go: Join the Dillon Moore Academy annual show for a celebration of Irish dance.  It will feature lively music and colorful presentations of traditional and contemporary, award-winning dance.
  • Pricing: $14
  • Where/When: Border's Books in Pleasant Hill; March 5, 2pm
  • Why Go: Kids ages six to 10, go down to Border's Books in Pleasant Hill for a Read Across America event. It will be a very special event to celebrate reading -- and the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Children can even submit a book review for publication on Borders.com. 
  • Pricing: Free
  • Where/When: ; March 4, 7pm; March 5, 10 a.m., noon, 2 and 4 p.m., March 6,  11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Why Go: The fantasy forum presents Cinderella, a romantic story about a girl's dream to find her true love, and her wicked stepmother and stepsisters attempts to foil the plan. With the audience's help, Cinderella's fairy godmother makes her dreams come true.

  • Where/When: ; March 2, 4pm–5pm
  • Why Go: Come see what the Walnut Creek Librarians seen in Dr. Seuss’ books – it’s science they’ve seen! Simple scientific fun.

  • Why Go: Come meet a special guest, Peter Rabbit, at the Barnes and Noble children's storytime.

And for the parents ...

  • Where/When: ; March 5, 10am–1pm
  • Why Go: Seven Hills School has simplified summer planning by bringing summer camps from all over the area to its campus. The camps cover all age groups and you will be able to gather brochures, and meet camp counselors and directors.
