I-680 Closure Scheduled for Sunday Night

Northbound lanes near Highway 24 will be closed at 10 p.m. as Caltrans does repaving work

On Sunday night, Caltrans will pave northbound Interstate 680 between Rudgear Road and Olympic Boulevard.

There will be various lanes closed during this work, including a full closure of Interstate 680 (all 3 lanes) at Highway 24 from 10 p.m. Sunday night until 5 a.m. Monday morning.

Detour: Northbound I-680 traffic will take westbound Highway 24 to the Pleasant Hill Road off-ramp, take the eastbound Highway 24 Pleasant Hill Road on-ramp, and return to northbound I-680. The Highway 24/Ygnacio Valley Road off-ramp will remain open during this work.

On Monday night from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., Caltrans will close the three left lanes on southbound Interstate 680 for paving from Olympic Boulevard to Rudgear Road.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes when possible. Please be alert for workers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
