John Muir Donation Helps Food Bank

$40,000 donation will provide many meals at a time of great need.

John Muir Health has put a whole lot of Christmas goose and fig pudding, figuratively, in the pantries of the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano with a $40,000 donation.

“This funding will enable our Food Bank to provide 80,000 meals right here in our community where the need is greater than ever before,” said Larry Sly, executive director of the food bank, according to a John Muir news release.

“This donation and the food drive reflect the generosity of our doctors, nurses, staff members and volunteers,” said Alice Villanueva, senior vice president of Human Resources for John Muir Health. “As a community partner, we are pleased to be able to help make this holiday season a little brighter for those in need.”
