Each week we will learn a new Mantra; how to pronounce it, its’ Sanskrit translation and how to chant it rhythmically.
Mantras channel the flow of energy through the body, adjusting the chemical composition of our internal states and regulating brain-hemisphere imbalances. Mantras naturally reduce the feeling of fear and despair–emotions that are the root of many common afflictions. By balancing the nervous system, chanting calms chronic stress and tension, and our overall well-being.
Don’t worry about whether or not you have a singing voice, there will be music and other voices to drown out any insecurities. Sundays 5:00-6:00pm; February 2, 9, 16, 23.
