Music and Art

You are cordially invited to attend an evening of musical

and visual entertainment at Peace Lutheran Church in Danville on February 9.

Jazz luminaries Kenny Washington and Marcus Shelby get the festivities under

way at 5:00 P.M. Washington is a drummer who has played with Benny Carter,

Clark Terry, and Lionel Hampton, among many others. San Francisco-based Shelby

is a bassist, composer, and arranger.


 John A. Barry, creator of trAction Painting, will be

displaying his latest work, a 21 x 12-foot canvas he painted by repurposing

bicycles, inline skates, and a walker as “brushes.” For more information about

Following the music will be a reception at which Barry will

answer any questions about his creations. Featured at the reception will be

Noci Bella fine organic chocolate.
