Spring Opening and Plant Sale

The
Ruth Bancroft Garden’s annual
Spring Opening and Plant Sale is the Bay Area’s best source for drought
tolerant plants, succulents, cacti, California natives, and other Mediterranean
climate plants. Featured succulents include Agaves, Aloes, and Echeverias,
including gems propagated from the Garden’s plants, some dating back to Ruth’s
original collection. There will also be a selection of heirloom bearded irises,
taken from Ruth’s private garden, and unique garden gifts and books. The
Garden’s expert staff, docents, and nursery propagators will provide insider
tips and tricks to planting a stunning garden that looks great all year long
with less irrigation than a lawn. Members only sale 9am-11am; public sale
11am-3pm; garden open until 4pm. Free admission all day; docent-guided tours at
11am and 1pm.
