Candlelight Vigil for Gabrielle Giffords and Other Shooting Victims

Please join the Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center at a candlelight vigil in Walnut Creek on Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Civic Drive for Gabrielle Giffords and the others who were injured or died in the tragic .

This is a time for people to come together in compassion and conciliation in the hope that vitriolic speech and violent actions to achieve a goal become a thing of the past and where, in respect for the differences of others, we can live in compassionate community.

Please bring a candle or flashlight and make sure your candle has a drip cup so that we do not damage the granite at Veteran's Plaza.
