Sustainable Seafood Program

As worldwide demand for seafood grows, so does the pressure on our oceans to provide food for a hungry planet. Come learn why your seafood choices matter and how you can find seafood that is both ocean-friendly and delicious!

The Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program will provide pocket guides that help you do the right thing and present an introduction to the primary issues in fisheries and aquaculture sustainability. In addition, you will hear stories of hope for some of your favorite seafood items and learn about actions you can take to keep our oceans healthy.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program raises consumer awareness through their pocket guides, website, mobile applications and outreach efforts. They encourage restaurants, distributors and seafood purveyors to purchase from sustainable sources.
