If you were headed from the San Ramon Valley to Walnut Creek and Concord Friday morning on Interstate 680, it probably wasn't a pleasant experience.

An ice cream truck overturned just north of Rudgear Road at about 7:15 a.m., blocking three lanes of traffic.

About an hour later, there was another accident near the Crow Canyon exit in San Ramon.

It's not just today. Recently there have been a number of accidents on Interstate 680.

In August, a fatal accident on an I-680 on-ramp in Pleasanton claimed the life of a 22-year-old.

About a week earlier, two people died from a fatal accident in San Ramon.
