There's an opportunity for a little fishin' combined with a little research Friday morning in Walnut Creek.
The fish trapping and identification session will take a look at the variety of fish in Walnut Creek. It will be led by local field biologist Jim Hale.
Some people might have a chance to wade in the creek with a seine net to temporarily catch fish. It's dependent on how many people sign up — please send an RSVP to Lesley Hunt, who chairs the Friends of the Creeks, at contact@friendsofthecreeks.org for details.
The session is from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, meeting at , 1460 S. Main St., Walnut Creek.
