For the sixth straight year, John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek was named one of the country's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The national magazine runs an annual list of best U.S. hospitals.

John Muir, Walnut Creek, was listed at no. 2 of 45 hospitals in the San Francisco-Oakland area. John Muir Medical Center, Concord, was listed at no. 3 in the area.
