Parking Problem at Avalon Bay

Parking Problem at Avalon Bay

Yesterday I rented space at the newly publicized , next to Starbucks. Inside parking, under the control of "AvalonBay," has a 2-hour limit. I rented room space for 3-hours. Just before the 2-hours expired, I moved my vehicle from the inside parking to street parking, also with a two hour limit.

I stayed in the street parking for 55 mins and received a $25.00 ticket for exceeding the total 2 hour limit. There is NO warning that inside and outside parking are both controlled by "Regional Parking," and that parking time is cumulative.

I have communicated to "Third Workplace" and Bob at "Regional Parking" that this is going to be a business killer for any business at Avalon Bay that has customers that stay over 2-hours.

Bob told me the intention is to install meters, but until then...driver beware, and stay away from any business in Avalon Bay.

If you are planning on parking beyond the two hour limit “Third Workplace” can issue you a parking pass that will allow you to park over the two hour limit or you may retain a Pass from the AvalonBay management office. We are planning on installing parking meters in the near future “with NO time limits” but until then, Third Workplace customers will need to get a Parking Pass if parking longer then two hours. If you are a Third Workplace customer or visitor and received a Notice of Parking Charge, we wil do a one time dismissal of the Parking Chrage.....Simply call our office during the hours of 9am - 4pm Monday - Friday.
Please feel free to call our office any time with questions or suggestions. Robert Power Regional Parking, Inc. 925 933-8795

Parking at Avalon Apartments is horrible!! If you are one minute over the 2 hours you get a ticket. No wonder there are no businesses willing to lease a space here! Good luck if you live at the apartments - or visit someone - yes there are passes but they have a limited amount. I understand you want to keep out people who use BART - but give the residents a break! We live here and you are making life tough - give us a break!

Yep, I got a ticket today for staying at Starbucks just over two hours. NOT conducive to successful businesses in this area. I go to Starbucks every day to write and just moved to the area. You idiots have driven me away forever.

Chem trails ... You tube..

The trails I saw at you tube, while bigger than vapor trails, were still very puny compared to theRead More banner cloud formations I saw this, banners stretching straight from East to West (or vice versa) from one horizon to the other. May guess is that they were over 500 feet wide, and I'm still inclined to think the straight-line winds that made the derecho in the East pushed backwards a straight banner of visible water vapor (ie, clouds). Compare the physics to the x-rays that are pushed backwards when matter is sucked into the spiral of a black hole, a new discovery this week.

Thanks, Jim. I appreciate it. Hi Julio, As we all know, Even the late movie guru, Roger Ebert'sRead More fans, sometimes, did not agree with his assessment. This is the beauty of a filmic conversation. There is really no right or wrong. It is highly subjective. Even Rotten Tomatoes sometimes do not agree with Top Critics from around the world.
