No Nordstrom

Caveat Emptor.  There is fraud happening with gift cards in Walnut Creek. A gift card was purchased from Safeway in Walnut Creek and given to me for Mother's Day.  Five days later someone used the card and security  code at the Walnut Creek Nordstrom.  Ironically, the card was in my possession and the security code was never scraped off until today by the Nordstrom employee.  The number is traceable, they know when it was purchased, what was purchased with it, and how and where the transaction occurred.  Yet, they cannot confirm if the required security number (that was still covered as of today) was used.  The bottom line is there is fraud happening with gift cards and this upscale store that prides itself on service claims it cannot catch the fraud and offered no assistance.  They have lost their edge and today, lost a customer.
