Strange cloud trail

Across the sky yesterday was a strange cloud trail, much thicker than a vapor trai, apparently stretching on a line from Concord to Richmond. The same thing this morning stretched on a line apparently over the 580, some 25 miles south of yesterday's line, still East to West. The Midwest today has a "derecho" caused by straight-line winds over 55 MPH. Could our cloud be caused by the same winds?
